USB Died on reboot

Featured Replies

I have (had) a 256GB Nvme as cache (SDA), a 500GB SATA (SDC) as an array member and a 14TB USB3 external drive (SDB) also array member.

I wanted to change a small array drive (500GB SATA) with a 1TB SATA SSD.

I took the array offline and shutdown the server. Swapped the 500GB for the 1TB and powered back on, did not load unraid.

looked at video from this pc and there was no boot device found.

Rebooted and went into bios, device not seen.

Powered off, plugged usb into windows laptop and it's not detected. Same in a linux laptop.

I have never unplugged it since I first setup the other week so I have never copied anything from it.

I have though been running APPDATA.BACKUP! and have copied this to my windows laptop.

Is there any hope for my recovery? I have a Pro license.

Thank you.

I've got my data, my apps all came back too. Incredible. I think I just have to recreate my smb shares.

Thank you so very much.

Even they should come back with default settings as long as User Shares are enabled under Settings->Global Share settings..    You then need to check each one in turn to make sure you are happy with the settings.
