Closing Terminal Windows

Featured Replies

New to UNRAID and not super familiar with Linux:

If I am running a process in a terminal window (such as a long rsync) and I close that terminal window before it completes, will it kill the process?  If not, how to I get it back so I can view its progress?

Thanks!

Normally closing the window also kills the process.

You could look at using ‘screen’ to get around this limitation.   I know screen can be installed via the NerdTools plugin.   You can use Google to get instructions on running ‘screen’.
