BigDanT
Ok, no bear with me I’m trying something new here I’m hoping some else has succeeded in getting to work. I have an old PlayStation 2 and have for my hands on a network adapter for it and Free Mcboot (this has an app called OPL) that allows you to play PS2 iso games over a network. a perfect use case for Unraid I thought. now there’s some chatter on the net that it only works with SMB 1.0. There some chat it works with SMB 2/3.0. has anyone else Here managed to get it to work. When I put all the details in it says it cannot log into smb share (which means it sees it, just can’t login). any pointers much appreciated. I’ve created a share and a user account to access it. All lowercase and no hyphens just to be on the safe side. Still can’t get OPL to log in. Cheers All. Quote Link to comment
Jabok
Just sorted this problem myself. You have to enable netbios to get SMBv1 supported. Doing this requires you to take down the array. Settings>SMB>Enable NetBIOS. Hope that sorts it out for you as it did for me. Quote Link to comment
BigDanT
Hi, Looks like Netbios is already turned on ! Heres a shot of my settings, does anything else stand out ? Maybe the SAMBA extra config line ?? Any chance You could share your SMB settings so i can see if I've missed anything obvious. Cheers D. Edited December 1, 2023 by BigDanT Quote Link to comment

BigDanT
Hi, Yes, here are my share settings (I've just tried forcing lower case). I think it needs to be SMB 1 for the PS2 to connect. Here are some settings I've found from another post here:- OPL SMB Configuration Guide [global] client min protocol = CORE client max protocol = NT1 server max protocol = SMB3 server min protocol = LANMAN1 strict sync = no keepalive = 0 Its a bit old though Quote Link to comment

weeLz
Did anyone get this working with ps2 OPL? Quote Link to comment
BigDanT
Nope, I gave up. I’m almost certain it’s got something to do with setting the minimum SMB version as I said above. I didn’t have the bottle to play around with the settings though as if I broke something my wife and kids would throw a fit, so I left it. Do let us know if you get this working though ???
