manofoz
Hello, My disks were filling up nicely. 20TB drive filled to 10TB and then the next 20TB drive started to get files up to 10TB. However the next drive in the list, a 12TB, only filled up to 2TB before the system started writing back to the first 20TB drive. Here they are out of balance: The share I am copying to has fairly basic settings. I think I followed the trash guide for hard linking. To copy files I am queuing work with Dynamix File Manager. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Solution itimpi Posted September 20, 2023 Solution Share Posted September 20, 2023 That is correct behaviour. The split points are based on the size of the largest drive - not on percentage used. It is as described in more detail here in the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI or the DOCS link at the top of each forum page. Quote Link to comment

I was under the impression it was trying to split each drive in half and then 3/4 etc. Is this behavior fine or is there a more preferrable setting like most free method? No - that is a common misconception. Highwater is normally the best option for most users. Quote Link to comment
