Mover won`t transfer files | "Some or all Files unprotected"

Featured Replies

Hello Unraid -Community,

I feel kind of stupid to even ask this question because I read a lot of threads with the same title but for the love of god I cant figure out whats wrong with my setup.

The Problem is in the title.... for a "long" time now I saw the "Some or all Files unprotected" warning and when I started the Mover to check if the Files will be moved from the Cache Drive to the Array nothing happens. I know that this is normal for my appdata share since it is supposed to stay exclusively on the Cache Drive but the others I dont understand.

Other then some Posts about a Bug where this shows up without any Cache Drive in the System (from 2015) and a possible missconfiguration of the Cache Usage I couldnt find any Source for this Problem.

Thanks in advance!

This is normal if you have a single device pool, any shares that exists there will show that warning.

Thanks for the fast answer!

After looking into the syslog i found the following error: (28) No space left on device

I guess the problem comes from my split level as i selected "Automatically split only the top level directory". Is there a way to automatically relocate the whole Top level folder to a different drive or do I need to do this manually, as I don`t want to split the folder contents over multiple drives.

Edit: And if I have to move the top folders manually, is there a order I have to follow? Or will the Mover on the next try automatically  move the files to the top folder on the new drive?

It needs to be done manually.

Mover will respect the split level settings, so if the folders are moved to a new disk future data will also go there.
