HI,

 

I started having a problem a few weeks back where Unraid 6.11.5 will just go down around 2:15am in the morning.

I ended up migrating to a new motherboard and cpu thinking it would fix the problem as the old one was about 9 years old--but still working, lenovo TS440.

But it did the same thing using the same USB stick and unraid image.

 

I fortunately had turned on syslog.

 

 

This is what I was able to pull before that down. It appears something powered it down or there was a kernel panic? Maybe due to the newly installed urbackupsrv?

 

Any insights anyone could share would be great!

That shows something is actively configured to issue the shutdown command, so it is not a crash.

 

Have you checked that you have nothing configured to run at that time?  Feels like it could be a User Script.   One small clue is that is using the ‘powerdown’ command to do this rather than the ‘shutdown’ command.   Have you tried looking at something like /etc/cron.d/root to see if it contains an entry for that specific time?

Hmm... odd. I never installed anything that would have done that.  and unforunately, I am not proficient at linux, so dont know where to look for things like you suggest. I will check that location and see if I find something. Only thing I did was installed URbackupsrv recently, so maybe it was causing it.  not sure..

ok I found a user script that reboots weekly.  I dont recall installing this or having it configured.. but for some reason the server wouldn't come back up.

I will debug it further.. Thanks for your help.. again learning linux and dont know exactly where to look for this stuff..
