ok I found a user script that reboots weekly. I dont recall installing this or having it configured.. but for some reason the server wouldn't come back up. I will debug it further.. Thanks for your help.. again learning linux and dont know exactly where to look for this stuff..

Hi Thanks!!! Hmm... odd. I never installed anything that would have done that. and unforunately, I am not proficient at linux, so dont know where to look for things like you suggest. I will check that location and see if I find something. Only thing I did was installed URbackupsrv recently, so maybe it was causing it. not sure.. Thanks!

HI, I started having a problem a few weeks back where Unraid 6.11.5 will just go down around 2:15am in the morning. I ended up migrating to a new motherboard and cpu thinking it would fix the problem as the old one was about 9 years old--but still working, lenovo TS440. But it did the same thing using the same USB stick and unraid image. I fortunately had turned on syslog. This is what I was able to pull before that down. It appears something powered it down or there was a kernel panic? Maybe due to the newly installed urbackupsrv? Any insights anyone could share would be great! HI, Wanted to post this here as I am perplexed by what happened. I run several containers, the most important being our IP video security system, it is Digital WatchDog-- a US version of NXWitness. I have been running 6.11.5 for the longest time. Stable as can be. Love it. Decided to upgrade to 6.12. Upgrade proceeded as planned. Everything worked, except when I ran my docker container for DigitalWatchdog, this version of it https://github.com/ptr727/NxWitness the LSIO version. Anyway, when I connected to it, it told me that my license was not valid and not being a very strong linux/container guru I was perplexed what I could do to check what changed. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I ended up reverting back to 6.11.5, which is fine, but eventually I am sure I will need to upgrade and it would cause me to have to buy new licenses as DW only allows you to migrate licenses to new hardware(or what appears to them to be new hardware), 3 times. I've done it twice now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi when I hit provision to get a cert under the settings management access, the provision box goes gray but never does anything. It just has an animated provision button. Never showing me a cert or anything. if I refresh the screen it just shows me the provision button again. If I click I get the same behaviour. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Thanks! for the feedback.. Yea after posting I did a bit of reading and realized unraid is not secure. So I will place it behind a firewall and use a vpn. Looks like hamachi is what others use? Any advice on implementing vpn on unraid? Thanks

Hi, I currently have a WHS in my home with 9tb, I want to turn that into an unraid solution in the home, and also want to place a similar system at my brothers web hosting company so I could back up over the internet into my own offsite storage pool. I have zero FREEBSD/Linux experience, and am wondering if someone who help me understand what I would need to do to place that unraid system up on the internet so I could access it. I specifically am interested in how I'd secure it as it would be exposed with a direct ip address. Outside of windows share security, are there other things to be concerned with? Would you recommend I put it behind a firewall, and create some kind of tunnel like hamachi? Thanks for your suggestions!
