cbarbie
128GB memory Both 10G nics are plugged into a switch and the switch sees both of them. I loaded Win 10 and the appropriate driver and Win recognizes it. Unraid 6.12.4 does not. I booted into the Unraid GUI an manually set the IP address. It still does not appear on the network. Is Unraid missing the driver?tower-diagnostics-20231016-1216.zip Edited October 16, 2023 by cbarbie Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
The driver is there but it fails to load for both NICs with the same error: Oct 16 12:15:42 Tower kernel: ixgbe 0000:03:00.1: The EEPROM Checksum Is Not Valid Oct 16 12:15:42 Tower kernel: ixgbe: probe of 0000:03:00.1 failed with error -5 Look for a firmware update and/or google that to see if there's a fix. cbarbie
The BIOS was already the current version, but in case it was corrupt, I updated it. I also brought the BMC current. No change. It appears the NVM for the nics may be corrupt. I see intel has a utility - X550_NVMUpdatePackage_v3_60_Windows.exe - to recover/update. Going to search Supermicro site to see if I can find anything. cbarbie
I tried the Intel X550_NVMUpdatePackage_v3_60_Windows.exe - no luck. Could not find anything on SM site or anywhere else. Quote Link to comment
cbarbie
Contacted SM and gave them the serial# of the board. They sent me a link to a utility to flash the NVM EEPROM. It took 9 minutes to perform the update, but it worked! Edited October 25, 2023 by cbarbie 1 Quote Link to comment
