Replace data disk

I have an old 1.5TB drive (still runs fine) but with Black Friday approaching, I may replace it by a new one, larger

I have 2 free bays in my rack....How should I preclear it before replacing the old one?

If you want to preclear it (which is not strictly speaking necessary) then probably the easiest way is to install the Unassigned Devices Preclear plugin.
