trekt
I woke up to Disk 3 giving me errors on the array and then disabled, I reboot the server and my flash also did not allow the server to boot because of mysterious IO errors. Replacing the flash drive fixed that issue. I did an extended SMART test and it didn't show any problems but I'm concerned my SMART attributes don't give me all the details but my judgement wanted to think the drive is okay. I proceed with rebuilding onto itself and now drives 1 and 2 and reporting tons of read errors during the rebuild. I've paused it for now while I think about my options and wait for advice. Disks 1 and 2 have not disabled yet but the read error count has jumped to over 50000. I'm starting to think now whether it is connection related, if that is the case I would like to know how to test for it, or if I should buy new cables, reconnect my current cables. I have a replacement drive coming soon. I don't have any backups but the data is not of huge importance. lil-nas-x-diagnostics-20231121-0528.zip Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted November 21, 2023 Solution Share Posted November 21, 2023 Looks more like a power/connection issue, cancel the rebuild, check/replace cables or PSU and try again. Quote Link to comment
trekt
After checking and messing with cables Retrying the rebuild, at 21% with no errors, seems okay for now. Will update if anything happens Edited November 21, 2023 by trekt 1 Quote Link to comment
trekt
Seems to be just a connection issue as you mentioned Edited November 22, 2023 by trekt Quote Link to comment
