GPU PASSTHROUGH - OUTPUT ISSUE @ The Monitor

Featured Replies

Hi all...

Im posting in the hope that there is a 'quck fix' for my issue before i go into a deep dive trouble shoot

here we go:

Im passing through a GTX1050Ti to my VM's.

Its the only card in the server and its bound to VFIO.

With multiple Linux Vm's there are NO issues, pass through works fine and i get output at the monitor. all hunky dory.

However, with Windoze 10/11 im not getting any output at the monitor. The VM is not freezing/crashing, by all accounts and purposes as far as i can tell it seems to be working as it should be - apart from there being no output at the monitor.

Its the same card, same monitor, same hdmi cable - works for linux but not Windoze.

Anyone have a scooby about what I could possibly have look at before I delve deeper into this issue.ppreciated

Much Appreciated

Have you connected to all the different jacks on the card? Maybe windows is only outputting to a specific port. To troubleshoot, it would help to temporarily set up a VNC connection so you can install remote access software like nomachine in the client, then when you boot up with the video card selected you should still be able to connect using the nomachine client and poke around the video settings.
