Random crashes

Featured Replies

Howdy.  I hope yall can help me.  I've been experiencing random crashes of my Unraid since I upgraded to the latest stable code.   I've got the diagnostics, but I can't seem to find anything wrong.   Am I missing something glaringly obvious?  Id love to have this system back stable..my family is asking me why they cant watch their plex, and with them being home for the holidays, it's getting intense.   Please, help save what remains of my sanity.

Thanks,

Rubi

The syslog in the diagnostics is the RAM copy and only shows what happened since the reboot.   It could be worth enabling the syslog server to get a syslog that survives a reboot so we can see what happened leading up to the crash

I see you currently have docker disabled. Is that for troubleshooting purposes? Does it still crash without docker?

So, in answer to your question Trurl, Yes, it does still crash with the docker engine disabled.   I'll setup a syslog server VM and point the logs to that and get back with you when I have more details.

In this case, I actually did.  The server was unstable, and it'/s headless in a datacenter elsewhere.  Good news though, I do think I may have found the problem.  Looks like it was the Macvlan docker thing.  I now have remote syslog on two servers in the region, and will let you know if anything else breaks. :) Thank yall so much. :)
