Restore / Backup

Hello-

Ok here’s my issue. I’ve been unable to login to my unraid server for some time now. Unraid will boot up and I can see the IP address, but I’ve been unable to connect to the server. I took the USB out of my computer and dropped and dragged all the files to my PC.  I decided to try and do a restore from a previous backup, but it won’t boot and in the process one of my hard drives die. I’m not sure which drive was my parity drive and when install a fresh copy of unraid I’m not sure which drive to select parity. (I don’t want to lose any of my data)

Is there a why I can just drop the file I backup on my pc back to the USB drive and get everything to work like before. The backup wont boot for me and I don’t want to lose any data if possible.

Thanks

Did this happen after the flash drive was copied?

You can try recreating the flash drive then restore the /config folder from the copy.

I believe the hard drive was already going bad. I figured out it was my parity disc that failed.

I would like to now just get my unraid setup back if possible. Can I just drop and drag the configure files over?

Thanks

Yes if the current assigned disk are the same.
