January 22, 20242 yr So my cache drive was a 240GB SSD and I am replacing with a 1TB SSD. I Stopped docker and VMS and made changes to the mover action to move files from cache to array. Installed the new drive and started mover to move from arrray to cache. Started moving and now mover has stoped and logs are filled with IO errors. I no longer have the option to stop the array. How do I proceed? tower-diagnostics-20240122-1454.zip EDIT: ran mover stop and it stopped mover. Tried to stop the array to swap cables and now this is being spammed and the array wont stop. January 23, 20242 yr Author Got it shut down ran extended SMART on the new SSD cache drive and it passed. I reinstalled it with a new sata cable. Mover is currently moving the cache file back off the array. Can anyone confirm if the I/O errors in the logs look like a bad cable?
January 23, 20242 yr Author Ok thanks JorgeB I dont have anymore power adapters but I did change the sata cable. I'll have to order some power adapters to have a spare around just incase. Seems to be ok for now. Thanks for taking a look! How easy would it be to add a second 1 tb ssd and mirror the cache? It is currently in zfs. Edited January 23, 20242 yr by Gragorg

January 23, 20242 yr Author Thanks. Was monitoring logs and am getting some ata9 errrors. I have new power cables on order should be here tommorow. Do you think the power cable on the new cache drive is causing this? tower-diagnostics-20240123-1227.zip
January 23, 20242 yr Author Looking through system devices and say this 9:0:0:0]disk ATA ST4000VN000-1H41 SC46 /dev/sdi 4.00TB Does this mean that ATA9 is this 4TB Seagate (Disk5)?
