January 26, 20242 yr Hey everyone, I am having several issues with my array. I had a drive fail on me and I got my replacement drive in. The replacement drive is bigger than the original drive and the same size as my parity drives. However I am unable to stop the array by using the array stop button in the webui. I try to go to the settings and change the settings for the Array Auto start and I do not have any luck their either. It acts as though the button is there but not linked to any scripts or use, just a button to click on. I had to go into my config file and manually change Auto Start to no, save the file and restart Unraid in order for the server to boot without starting the Array. I can then add the drive to the array and click start, but then Unraid says Array Starting - Mounting Disks but it doesn't progress past that point and the entire array is not usable. I tried using maintenance mode and was able to start the array and do a manual sync, but I should not have to put my system in maintenance mode. I would like to still be able to use my system while the array is rebuilding the replaced drive as I have been able to in the past. System setup: Dell Poweredge R810 CPU: 4x Intel® Xeon® CPU E7- 4870 @ 2.40GHz Memory: 128 GiB DDR3 Multi-bit ECC R810 is connected to a Dell Powervault MD1000 I have attached the last 4 Diagnostics for review. January 29, 20242 yr Author Sorry for the delayed response, I had a busy weekend with work, I did not get a chance to check the physical cables. I will check that out tonight. I can post the Syslog later today, if that is still beneficial. Thanks,
January 30, 20242 yr Author Here is the diag's after removing the second cable from the enclosure to the unraid server. I can say that after removing that second cable, I was able to use the Web UI to stop the array and add the replacement drive. I was also able to start the array back up and let the system rebuild. Did all this occur just because of the second cable to my enclosure and was causing the SAS multipath? Thanks for all the help. mediacenter-diagnostics-20240130-1354.zip
