JorgeB
Nothing obvious logged, which can be normal with hardware issues, does it also crash with WIndows? Quote Link to comment
tankknat
Yes it does. And I can’t figure out what the issue is. I thought it might have been the nvme so I swapped it out still happens. im at my wits end. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
I would start by running with just a stick of RAM, if the same try a different one, that will basically rule out a RAM problem. Quote Link to comment
tankknat
Yeah I’ve done a memtest on each stick, then a pair and then all 4. Every test passed. ive gone with only one drive in also. yesterday setup with everything and it lasted maybe 5-6 hrs with downloads going all drives going parity check all fine, and then randomly just froze again and now it does it every 10-15 mins. ive even tried a different gpu Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Memtest is only definitive if it finds an error. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
That suggests RAM is not the problem, next suspects for me would be PSU, board, CPU. Quote Link to comment
tankknat
thanks heaps that was my thought sadly... Quote Link to comment
tankknat
So I’ve ordered a new psu that won’t get here for a while as it’s a long weekend here in nz. but I thought I’d give the cpu a clean and put new thermal paste on. However after wiping the old paste off I noticed it has dropped down the side of the chip slightly and on one side it looks wet. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
That doesn't look normal, but not sure if it's a problem. Quote Link to comment
