Is it possible to mount the leftover partition on a zfs mirrored cache pool?

I have two differently sized SSDs. One is a m.2 4TB, the other a sata 2TB. I set these to be a mirrored cache. I want to use the leftover 2 TB on the m.2 for VMs. The gui doesn't seem to have any support for this but it should be possible via command line. I am however unfamiliar with the process as well as I'm unsure what the best method is for unraid to mount on boot.

Is it as simple as just making an entry in Syslinux configuration?

Okay so I guess they can't be mirrored if I want to use the full space.

I believe BTRFS single profile is the only layout that will utilize different size drives fully in a pool.

 

Since that will not be redundant, I recommend just setting up 2 different pools and using each for specific duties.

Looks like ZFS is also supported if I make separate pools.

Correct, to use the full capacity you'd need to use btfs single or zfs stripe (raid0).

From what I see it writes a little more to the larger device(s), so as to try to keep about the same used space in terms of percentage, meaning with different sized devices, it's not a true raid0, but unlike the GUI, zfs calls it stripe, not raid0 anyway.
