TheBaldFox
Was watching a video on Plex when it stopped and could not be restarted. Checked the server and was greeted with a popup message that there is NO FLASH, and to contact tech support. So here I am. Any ideas? The server is still up and running, though I cannot access shares or dockers. Thanks. tower-diagnostics-20240327-1945.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Flash drive dropped offline after wake up from S3 sleep, you can try a different USB port, or don't use S3 sleep, since it doesn't always work correctly. Quote Link to comment
TheBaldFox
Should I turn that off? If so, how do I do that? Would it be safe to shut the server down and reboot with the drive in a different port? Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted March 28 Solution Share Posted March 28 I don't see the S3 plugin installed, S3 sleep should not work on a stock install, do you remember changing anything to enable that? Also post new diags after a reboot, since they are incomplete. Quote Link to comment
TheBaldFox
I have never messed with that plugin that I recall. But if you're telling me that it should be ok to shutdown and restart without screwing everything up then I'll give it a go and post the new diagnostics. Quote Link to comment
TheBaldFox
Well, I'm too impatient and decided to reboot. For some reason the machine decided that it just doesn't want to boot from the USB automatically now... going to have to dig into the bios. However, I could select it manually to boot from usb and when I did everything started up just fine. Attached is the newest diag file. tower-diagnostics-20240328-1531.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Everything looks OK so far, maybe it was a fluke, though strange that the server tried to suspend without the plugin. Quote Link to comment
TheBaldFox
Agreed. Anyway, I'm going to make a backup of the thumbdrive so I'll have it and just hope nothing else strange happens. Thanks for the help. 1 Quote Link to comment
