Mario Coelho Posted April 8 Share Posted April 8 Hi, Building a more power efficient small NAS for mainly backups (family media and documents), as I have several 2.5” disk drives from previous laptop upgrades, would like to use then in this build. Most are SMR a few older are CMR but one is a Seagate ST1000LM014 1TB Hybrid SSHD SATA Drive. Can a Hybrid SSHD be use as a parity drive or even in the future as a normal drive in the UNRAID Array? The concern is error in parity or data loss, speed is not relevant in my use case. Thanks in advance, MC Quote Link to comment
