My server, unraid 5.0b13, has thrown the following error twice in the last couple of hours, while I was copying a bunch of files.

Nov 29 16:47:01 Repository kernel: crond[17306]: segfault at b786951c ip b786951c sp bf90f544 error 15 in ld-2.11.1.so[b7869000+1000]

I am a newb at this so I would appreciate if anyone can shed light on this?

Thanks!

Looking at my logs, I notice this is happening every hour - I am not sure what cron is?  This began after I attempted to install ffmpeg and pytivo - still working on that as well.

Nov 30 06:47:01 Repository crond[1317]: exit status 1 from user root /usr/bin/run-parts /etc/cron.hourly 1> /dev/null

Nov 30 06:47:01 Repository kernel: crond[31368]: segfault at b786951c ip b786951c sp bf90f544 error 15 in ld-2.11.1.so[b7869000+1000] (Errors)

Any help appreciated.

OK, thanks for that.  Here's the problem - I can't find how to disable or uninstall my addons.  I am embarrassingly newbish.  I googled unraid uninstall/disable/ etc, and I searched here, I searched the documentation, etc.  I am sure its right there in front of my face, but all I can find is how to add and install packages!

I would like to give up on running pytivo for now, build a free three drive server and figure out how to do it, and then move it to my production array.  (Why the frack didn't I do it this way in the first place?  Im an idiot)  However I need to get my production array back to "stock" so to speak.

Can you point me to uninstall instructions?  Thanks so much for your patience.  And your help.

OK, I am not sure what that means.  Is there a file called "go" and if so, where do I find it? By "stock" do you mean replace that file with the one that comes with the 5.0beta13 distribution?  Would I find said file in the same place?

Can you point me to where I can read a detailed explanation?

Is this how one uninstalls packages?  Do linux/unraid folks use a different term than uninstall?  Again, my searching reveals only instructions on how to install packages.

Thanks.

The go file is on the usb under /boot/config

The simple version is that when unraid starts up it runs the contents of the go file.

Replace it with the go file that comes with the 5.0b13 or whatever distribution you are running. ie return to the original/stock/unmodified one. It's a good idea to keep a copy of your old go file by renaming it go.old with a date or something.
