Sharing data on LAN difficulty.

Featured Replies

I have

/data/media/

/porn/

/tv

/movies

/games

and so on

I want to share my /media/ dir, excluding /porn/, with my brother on the LAN, how do I do this because there doesn't seem to be a way to exclude locations in a share to certain users, they either have top-level access or nothing.

Thanks in advance.

The Unraid security model works at the top level of a share - it is not granular enough to apply to sub-folders within it.

"in a share" is the problem. Make multiple different shares and set access restrictions on the ones you don't want to expose to certain people, or flat-out don't export the ones you want hidden.
