May 6, 20242 yr Greetings, A newbie I am to unraid, still experimenting and whatnot. So as stated in the topic I have a PowerEdge T420 I am running. The issue I am dealing with seems to be an old one, that was apparently solved, but I can't find good documentation so looking for help here. I am running an external GPU with said server (nvidia 3060). So after disabling the onboard video I can run my output thru the gpu, but I run into the following issues: In UEFI boot: I get to the UnRaid boot screen, but no matter which I get the error "Failed to Allocate memory for kernel command line" I doublechecked the usb after running the tool and there is no "-" next to the EFI folder, and for good measure I ran the make bootable script as well, but to date I am still unable to get it to boot into the OS from this point In BIOS boot: After the server runs it's preboot sequence it gets hung up on, "Disconnecting UEFI drivers. Please Wait....." It'll hang here for a moment and either shutdown or reboot Any help would be appreciated. I suspect it's something simple that i"m overlooking, but I guess with the millions of other projects I have going on I"m missing the solution somehow. Thanks, Ax

But after giving it a try, still having the same two issues. 4 hours ago, JorgeB said: This is a common issue with some Dell servers, solution is usually booting in BIOS mode, but don't remember anyone else having an issue with that. Yeah I"ve read about this being something that is following some poweredge servers, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where the disconnect is here. I am honestly baffled, I cannot find a solution for this anywhere 🤔
May 7, 20242 yr Author Running in BIOS boot thru the external GPU is when it gets stuck at the "Disconnecting UEFI drivers". So my assumption is that it might be a compatibility issue? GeForce RTX 3060 is what's running now, but not sure if that's the issue. https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/Dell-PowerEdge-T420/5939 That link shows compatible hardware and I see a 3060-TI referenced, so I'm doubtful.
