Two devices in array are suddenly failing

It looks like you have a problem with your SATA controller as the syslog shows:

May 30 21:02:29 NASBOX kernel: mpt2sas_cm0: SAS host is non-operational !!!!

followed by most of your drives starting to throw errors and going offline.   I suspect that the drives themselves are probably fine.

I powered down the system to check all the cable connections, and now I can't seem to even get into Unraid anymore. Is there a way for me to run diagnostics on the USB drive?

Okay, I took apart my system, cleaned it, and put it all back together. Everything boots now, but the system is saying that two of my drives are unmountable. Any suggestions?

Okay, I ran check on both drives. I got them to the point where both are able to get through all the steps of check and then be "done". I'm still unable to mount the drives in my array for some reason

The two disks are both still unable to be added, even after checking their filesystems. Should I rebuild the drives, or do I have other options first? I believe these drives got corrupted when the SATA controller originally failed

On the Main tab do the emulated drives now mount but still show a red 'x' indicating that the physical drives are still disabled (which is what I would expect.).

If it is something else then please describe what (or provide a screenshot of the Main tab).

If so then to clear the disabled state you will need to rebuild them so that the physical drive matches the emulated ones.   If you want to rebuild the disks back to themselves then this is covered here in the online documentation accessible via the Manual link at the bottom of the Unraid GUI.
