skler
I have two disk failed (maybe for an electrical problem), in an array with two parity disks. What I did is: 1. Stop the array. 2. I had to restart the server, because was unresponsive, 3. I've removed the disk from the array 4. I did a pre-clear of the two disks, the cleaning was successful Now I can re-add the disk into the array. What I want to archive is to use the parity disks to rebuild this two disks. What I have to do? Just re-add them? Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted June 12 Solution Share Posted June 12 If the emulated disks are mounting and contents look correct you can do a standard rebuild: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/storage-management#rebuilding-a-drive-onto-itself 1 Quote Link to comment
skler
If I start the array while I have this message: "Stopped. Unclean shutdown detected." The parity will be rebuild or disk will be emulated from parity disks? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
If there are two disabled disks, parity cannot be rebuilt, it will just do a read check, you can abort that. 1 Quote Link to comment
