June 16, 20242 yr Noticed during today's parity check that I have a failed disk. Should I stop parity check or let it run? Looking for documentation and I can't seem to find it. I have dual parity.

June 16, 20242 yr Community Expert Disk dropped offline, so there's no SMART, but looks more like a power/connection problem, post new diags after a reboot to see SMART, as for the current check, if it's nearly done I would let if finish, if it's still going to take a long time probably cancel.
June 16, 20242 yr Author Disk did not come back up. I went ahead and replaced it and letting it rebuild now.
June 18, 20242 yr Author Disk turned out to be 9 years old. Yikes.. several of them were bought around the same time, probably time to replace a few.
