bubbleman441
My server has gone without being turned on for about a year now. After upgrading the motherboard and turning the server on, I have an issue with Disk 1 changing from the XFS format to AUTO. Do I need to reformate the drive and allow my parity drive to rebuild it? This is how it used to look: Thanks tower-diagnostics-20200630-1756.zip Edited June 23 by bubbleman441 Quote Link to comment
itimpi
You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread. It is always a good idea when asking questions to supply your diagnostics so we can see details of your system, how you have things configured, and the current syslog. Do NOT try and format the drive or replace it as that is not the way to handle a drive showing as unmountable. Quote Link to comment

itimpi
Have you tried the procedure documented here for handling unmountable disks in the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI or the DOCS link at the top of each forum page. The Unraid OS->Manual section in particular covers most features of the current Unraid release. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
The diags you posted have disk1 mounted, so they don't match the screenshot, one of them is out of date. Quote Link to comment
bubbleman441
I'm having issues following the above posted document. Under the section "Running the Test using the WebGU"; step 4, I cannot find a "Check" listed to start any tests on the disk. I also tried running a file system check from the command line as it suggests using "xfs_repair -v /dev/mdX" with no luck. It also looks like my 500gb cache pool drive does not show up anymore but that's less of a concern at this point. I'll count it as a loss I just don't want to lose my data on Disk 1. Please help as I have no idea what to do at this point. Below are the diagnostics and screenshot to date: Thanks tower-diagnostics-20240826-1635.zip Edited August 26 by bubbleman441 Quote Link to comment
itimpi
The command you used was incorrect which was why it failed. It is easy to get the command wrong from the CLI. There are no diagnostics attached to your last post so we can see the current state of things. Quote Link to comment
