PCI-Express Gigabit Network Adapter Recommendations ?

I've been using 100 BaseT Ethernet to date but with the advent of 4.3 B4/etc and cached write access I'm seriously considering upgrading to 1000 BT. So I'd appreciate any recommendations / caveats regarding PCI-Express <-> 1000 BaseT adapters / chip sets.

I've been having network dropout issues latelty isolated the the unRaid, so since i'm using the mobo NIC, I ordered the Intel Pro NIC suggested in this thread. Hoping it will fix my issues. Once it arrives and I've dropped it in, how would I go about making sure this is used by the unRaid software instead of the mobo NIC?

In your BIOS, disable your onboard NIC.

I'm going to have to try mine again. When I tried it before, same port, same cable, etc, it wouldn't sync-up. Got a "sync beat not detected" or something similar in the log so I switched to plain old PCI Intel Pro.
