Posted July 8, 20241 yr Followed the TRaSH guides to setup my media server, was working great for about a week. Yesterday I decided to purge some files from Qbittorrent, and deleted the contents of the /data/torrent/tv and /data/torrents/movies folder. Today I looked at qbittorrent and all the new downloads were errored, and came to realize the folders on my cache drive are seemingly gone? They seem to show up if I access the smb share via Windows file explorer, but if I open the cache drive from within the unRaid GUI the folders are not there. Files on the array are intact, with no-issues as far as I can tell. Any idea the easiest way to re-add the missing directories? I'm worried I'm going to do something impulsive that'll screw up the existing files on the array. Any thoughts much appreciated.

It is always a good idea when asking questions to supply your diagnostics so we can see details of your system, how you have things configured, and the current syslog.
July 14, 2024Jul 14 Author It's happened again - I'm assuming it's happening during the nightly mover action? Checked the server this morning, and the directory structure on cache_ssd is gone. This drive serves as a download location until the files get moved to the array overnight. This must be some sort of user error, as I'm new to unRaid, but I did follow the TRaSH guides for setting up this directory structure. Attaching diagnostics file. Appreciate any insights! tower-diagnostics-20240714-0753.zip
July 14, 2024Jul 14 Community Expert Solution d--a shareUseCache="yes" # Share exists on disk1, disk2 You have the ‘data’ share set to move its files to the array, so why are you surprised they disappear from the cache? Do you have something configured to look directly on the cache rather than via /mnt/user/data which would find files regardless where they are located

I must've been messing around at some point, and had changed the torrent app to look directly at cache. Much appreciated!
