July 9, 20241 yr Just wanted to post this in case it helps someone in the future. I got a QNAP TL-D400s to expand my storage. I'm using the included QXP-400eS-A1164 card and cable. It seems to be working well. Several people have mentioned that the 8 bay version (TL-D800s) has problems detecting all installed drives when cold booting, necessitating removing and re-inserting any undetected drives (see here and here). With my 4-bay version, with all 4 bays loaded, a cold boot seems to work fine, with all drives being detected. Granted, I've only tried cold booting once. If for whatever reason I have to cold boot again, I'll report back with either a positive or negative results. Edit: Cold boot twice in total thus far. No issues. All 4 drives detected. August 30, 20241 yr Is this still working well for you? Any issues with the drives not spinning down? I ask because I've read that some users have issues with drives not spinning down with the QNAP TL-D800s. Thanks, Kerry
