QNAP TL-D400s - seems to work fine
Just wanted to post this in case it helps someone in the future. I got a QNAP TL-D400s to expand my storage. I'm using the included QXP-400eS-A1164 card and cable. It seems to be working well. Several people have mentioned that the 8 bay version (TL-D800s) has problems detecting all installed drives when cold booting, necessitating removing and re-inserting any undetected drives (see here and here). With my 4-bay version, with all 4 bays loaded, a cold boot seems to work fine, with all drives being detected. Granted, I've only tried cold booting once. If for whatever reason I have to cold boot again, I'll report back with either a positive or negative results. Edit: Cold boot twice in total thus far. No issues. All 4 drives detected.

"Don't write to the array during parity rebuilds unless you want to risk losing data"
I saw something on the unraid subreddit but wanted to get people's opinion here as the most upvoted comments on Reddit are often completely wrong information posted by people who don't know what they're talking about. https://www.reddit.com/r/unRAID/s/RPOzUMbCQC The reply posted by user diad6sucks here https://www.reddit.com/r/unRAID/s/rnz6vulbiA seems to indicate that in a dual parity setup you shouldn't use the array while it's being rebuilt, otherwise you risk losing data. That's wrong, isn't it? I thought the whole point of parity is that the array can remain up during the 24-36h it takes to rebuild a failed disk.

Expected parity rebuild speed with LSI 9201-8i
Turns out I had the HBA plugged into the x1 slot. The Asus motherboard I'm using had poor documentation. Nowhere in the manual nor the board itself did it state which PCIE slot was x4 mode and which was x1 mode. I had to take a closer look at the pins to determine I had plugged it into the wrong one.

Expected parity rebuild speed with LSI 9201-8i
I have a LSI 9201-8i HBA in IT mode bought from Amazon. According to the description, this is a PCIE gen 2.0 card. I have it plugged into a PCIE slot in x4 mode. This is the speed I'm getting during parity rebuild: Are these the expected speeds for this card in PCIE 2.0 x4 mode? Or does it look like it's running in x1 mode for some reason?

QNAP-EC Plugin -- has anyone got this working on unRAID (For those that moved from QNAP NAS)?
Hello hispeedsurfer, How did you get the qnap-ec plugin working? Did you have to compile it yourself, or is it available for download?
