I recently tried to add a 128GB SSD drive as a cache drive. I ended up not wanting to keep that and ever since I removed the drive, this issue has been happening. If I reboot the server, the shares show up again for a few minutes but then disappear. What's going on?

Jul 12 10:56:07 cordova-server shfs: error: strcpy_share_path, 456: No such file or directory (2): path too long: /└───┴───────────────────┴───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘

A reboot should bring them back, but it will likely happen again if you try to read whatever that folder is.

@JorgeB Yup, rebooting does in fact bring them back, but like you said, it goes out again. Is there a way to find out what path that is? And where in the diagnostics did you find that?

I have an idea of what folder has the long file names. Going to do a mass rename and report back if the issue is solved...

Unfortunately based on that entry don't know where that strange folder is, renaming may be a good way to find it.

I renamed a bunch of files and this seems to have fixed the problem.

For context, I have a cron job that downloads YouTube videos from a play list. It checks for new videos added to the playlist every 2 hours and downloads them. I was naming the files with the template of `<title> [<id>].<ext>`. Since I'm using the video titles as part of the file name, I believe this is where my issues came from. Those titles can get super long.

That being said, what is the character limits in Unraid for file paths and file names?

I had the same issue happen, but strangely it happens if I am ssh'd with vscode and a single line cli output (e.g. a warning message) is too long. It happened several times, for example when composing up a docker container with logging.

Does anyone have an idea why CLI logs/outputs are causing this to happen? It seems to suggest that Unraid is storing it as a path name somewhere...

E.g.

Jun  8 16:01:08 Core shfs: error: strcpy_share_path, 696: No such file or directory (2): path too long: /[WRN] The following quality profile names have no definition in the top-level quality_profiles list and do not exist in the remote service. Either create them manually in the service or add them to the top-level quality_profiles section so that Recyclarr can create the profiles for you: ["4K Bluray (Favourites))"]

@chargedskate FYI I was having the same issue. I had just given up on using VS Code ssh because of it, but since I last saw the issue on 7.1.2 and I'm now on 7.2.3 I thought I'd try again with VS Code. Well.. hit the problem almost immediately (again when doing a grep).

Your note about it happening with VS Code I think is the first I've seen of someone else having a similar experience and the idea about a line of terminal output being "too long" is interesting and more than I've been able to come up with. I guess my experience of this happening with grep might also be because of "too long" terminal outputs.
