Unable to Stop Array

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am pretty new to all of this so forgive me for my ignorance. I am not quite sure what happened but I was just checking my server earlier today and I noticed that nothing on my dashboard was working. No CPU info, no ram in info, nothing. I rebooted the system but when it started back up the only share I could see was my media share. There were no dockers or anything. I tried stopping the array, but I am stuck in an infinite loop of:

Jul 19 16:15:40 Tower root: rmdir: failed to remove '/mnt/user': Directory not empty
Jul 19 16:15:40 Tower  emhttpd: shcmd (1718): exit status: 1
Jul 19 16:15:40 Tower  emhttpd: shcmd (1720): /usr/local/sbin/update_cron
Jul 19 16:15:40 Tower  emhttpd: Retry unmounting user share(s)...
Jul 19 16:15:45 Tower  emhttpd: shcmd (1721): umount /mnt/user
Jul 19 16:15:45 Tower root: umount: /mnt/user: not mounted.
Jul 19 16:15:45 Tower  emhttpd: shcmd (1721): exit status: 32
Jul 19 16:15:45 Tower  emhttpd: shcmd (1722): rmdir /mnt/user

Does anybody have any advice? I tried looking on the forum but all I could find is an old 2012 post telling me to run lsof | grep /mnt/user, which I did but nothing happened.

I found the issue. My parity drive seemed to be corrupted. I ran a repair but it couldn't find a secondary super block. I am rebuilding the drive now.

This does not make much sense as the parity dtive does not contain a file system.

I know. I ran repairs on all of my drives. Two of them had issues. One of them was repaired via xfs_repair. When that was repaired, I could stop the array. However, the issue of only seeing the media share was only fixed when I removed the parity drive. I am still new at this so I am not sure what is going on. Sorry if this didn't make much sense.
