Unsure about Docker usage in “System”?

Featured Replies

Can anyone explain what this is and what it is for,  it most importantly how I can help reduce it please?

I’ve stopped a few of my dockers and it’s made no difference.

i currently have 24 in all, but 10 I’ve stopped. I’m sure I noticed this before and it was just as high before I’d started installing other docker images.

the reason I noticed this was due to a pop up from the system.

any help would be appreciated, thank you 🤩

It is the usage of the docker.img file.

That part of the dashboard has been reworked for Unraid 7 to make it clearer what the usages represent.

Ah that makes sense. Is there any way of reducing the impact?

Again that's not RAM, that's the image file, "reducing the impact" would be having fewer containers, but you can also increase its size as necessary.

Didn’t mention RAM, but ok. To increase the size I’ve read somewhere that i had to turn Docker off, turn advanced view on and there will be an option to increase it? I tried to do this but no option appeared.. maybe I did something wrong but I’ll try again when home. Or is there another way that I’ve missed?

cheers

Yep, I’ve increased the size to 50gb and the Docker % has decreased to 29%. A little better

cheers for the help 👌🏼🤘🏼
