October 2, 20241 yr Unraid docs says : Primary and Secondary storage (Unraid 6.12) The Primary storage parameter defines the location - Cache, Array, or any named pool - to which new files will be written for the selected share. The Secondary storage parameter sets the location where files will be moved to if there is not enough room in primary storage. When primary storage is below the Minimum Free Space value, new files and folders are created in secondary storage. First it says when primary storage is full, files will be moved to secondary, then it says if primary storage is full, new files will be created on secondary storage ? Does this then mean that if unraid has got no time to move from primary(to make room for new files), it will create new files on secondary directly, or what this means ?
October 2, 20241 yr When primary has less than minimum free, new files are written to secondary. This has nothing to do with Mover. Mover action setting specifies what Mover does.

But what does "The Secondary storage parameter sets the location where files will be moved to if there is not enough room in primary storage." in docs mean ? Edited October 3, 20241 yr by tontza
