Disk copying issues

Featured Replies

Dear folks,

I'm having an issue that I need your eyes and expertise to help me to understand and solve.

A couple of months ago, I started to move my drives from XFS to ZFS. Coincidently, some issues start with disks and I had to change two of those. Now, I have the cache (2 SSDs in mirror) and two of my four disks in the array in ZFS.

I started to move files from Disk 1 to Disks 2 and 3 to format this one in ZFS as well. However, When I start to move the files, using the "Dynamix File Manager" or "Unbalanced", it starts to move, and freeze. Starts, and freeze... starts and freeze... And takes ages to move anything. I have this server since 2018 and this is the first time that I have this issue.

Have in mind that the Disk1 is the only one that is attached to a PCI-e SATA controller.

Attached, my diagnostics file.

Thanks in advance!

Eduardo

There's a known issue with zfs and write performance when used with the array, pools are not affected.

Thanks @JorgeB ! I'm moving back the array discs to XFS.

What about cache in ZFS? Do they have the same problem? Should I move back to the previous file system?
