Could start in UEFI yesterday not today.

So i pulled my USB drive out of my server to check to see if a different project would boot to unraid. All i cared about was it getting to the startup screen. It didn't but thats for latter. when i re inserted my USB to it's server it wouldn't boot into Uefi mode. About when it should start the process it dumps me back into bios. no mater what i try i can't get it to boot to uefi. I CAN get it to boot to non uefi mode by clicking it to boot from the disk one time, but it never accepts that mode as automatic.

Does this make sense?

Again, changed no hardware no settings until after it wouldn't boot, and then just the boot order. its been running fine for the better part of 6 years without needing to change a thing.

I've noticed that when you change drives, or replace them, the BIOS detects it on start-up and may alter the boot-order, even if you change nothing else. I'd first try the boot-menu during startup to select the UEFI USB-unRAID drive to see if it boots, and if it does, check your BIOS settings for the boot-order.

The BIOS battery may be bad.

Replaced battery nada.

reset to default bios settings then set to boot only to UEFI. Nada as well.

well i figured it out.

on the boot menu that has all the drives listed, it was listed way at the bottom of 10 drives. I moved it up to 1st and that was that.
