Dell LSI 9206-16e Not Showing up in Unraid

I am pretty confident that my HBA Card is dead on arrival. But just want to make sure I am not missing something obvious before going back to the seller.

PC: MSI B450 Tomahawk max with a 3600X.

CS200 disk shelf

On boot there is no LSI bios. Tried spamming ctrl-c (I believe that is the key combo for the bios). Nothing.

Motherboard bios is set for UEFI/Legacy.

The card does not show up in the bios motherboard info (A nice little display that MSI has that shows whats connected to the board)

The card does not show up in Devices as far as I can see

I do not see anything in the logs but I don't dig into them to much so there is a good chance I am overlooking it.

I attached the logs and Devices output from unraid.

Put the card into an older intel 4th gen computer and same thing nothing on start and nothing in the LCSPI output.

Put the card into a HP DL380p. It did not appear to show up in there either but my ability to properly navigate that machine is pretty minimal as it was basically given to me and i have not really had a use for it yet.

I am not sure if the card is in IT mode but from what i have been able to research that should not matter as i should be seeing the bios screen either way.

Only other thing i can think of is I only have one SAS cable for the CS200 disk shelf and I believe I do need a second which is on order and I should have it on Monday. But I don't think that would be the reason behind the card not showing up, this is my first experience with HBA cards though so I could be wrong on that.

Figured I'd chime in. I bought the exact same card a week or two ago on eBay for $20. I spent hours trying to get stuff working with my DS4246 and DS2246 shelves. Nothing was showing up. I was able to put the card in a Windows machine and it was showing up in Device Manager just fine. (It should show under the category Drive Controller or something) Was also able to flash the IT firmware and BIOS to both chips. (They show as two devices). What ended up being the problem was custom settings on the card that basically turned "off" all 16 ports, in addition to some other changed settings. My theory is it was/is some sort of vendor-locking.

This is the video that saved my butt. It involves using LSI UTILS to restore the custom settings to their default state. The video mentions version 1.72, but I was able to use 1.71 from here. I did this all, including the firmware flashing to IT mode, with this card in a Windows 10 machine.
