Repeated Hard Crashes of Unraid

Featured Replies

For the last year, I have been having random Unraid crashes roughly once every 3-4 weeks. The server will remain powered on and running, but is no longer on the network, and local terminal access allows me to type, but no commands or anything are submitted or attempt to run. Just types the text like I was in a text editor.

I have run a memtest scan for 24 hours and that came back fine. I'm at a loss as to what to try next.

I was able to figure out how to retain logs after a reboot and have the error attached. I have trimmed the log from tthe day before down through the error simply repeating. Can anyone help me figure out what might be going on here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those are device errors, and while you should try to fix them, it's usually a cable/connection issue, most likely they are unrelated to the server crashing.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, that's the only errors in my logs, so maybe they spiraled into an error that brought down the server, including logging? I'll try replacing all those ables and see if that helps anything. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to give me that information.

That turned out to be the issue. Replaced all 4 SATA cables and it has been solid since. Thank you!
