November 7, 20241 yr I want to replace my cache drives and am having trouble getting everything off. I stopped Docker, set things using the cache to go Cache > Array, run Mover and there's still a lot left on the cache. How can I safely & properly move everything to the array so I can power down, swap the cache drive, and move back to the new cache drive?
November 7, 20241 yr Community Expert That is the basic process? What is staying on the cache that you think should be moved? Do you have the Mover Tuning plugin installed - that can affect what gets moved. You are likely to get more informed feedback if you attach your system's diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread. It is always a good idea to do this to allow us to see the current state of your system and so we can see logs.
November 8, 20241 yr Author I did have Mover tuner, got rid of it and it moved some more. Still had about 1Gb left. But after looking at it, it was also on the array. So it had stuff in 2 places. I moved the duplicate files from the cache drive to a backup folder. Everything is working now, so I'll delete those eventually. Seems like something odd with mover. But at least I got it all moved and working. Just didn't go as expected

Just didn't go as expected Mover does not overwrite duplicate files as these should not happen if everything is behaving itself. in such a case you need to manually decide which copy to keep.
November 8, 20241 yr Author The issue is mover did move the files to the array, it just also left the on the cache. So it basically copied, not moved some files. It moved most but left a lot of docker files behind like config files, SQL DBs, etc. I think I'm good now, thanks for the help. I appreciate it!
November 8, 20241 yr Community Expert It probably just didn't do anything with those because they were already on the array. Checking the timestamps of both versions might confirm this if you haven't already deleted them. Or possibly some diagnostics taken before you tried the move.

I'll keep that in mind in case I have issues again.
