September 5, 200619 yr Upgraded a disk today, with the exception of the usual goofyness with the Intel BIOS losing the USB boot I spotted something in the UI that was a little disconcerting. While the drives were mounting after I'd told it to expand the F/S onto the new drive the new drive's status switched from "New" to "Invalid". Now I've been through this process a few times so I didn't panic but having seen "Invalid" in the past with the little yellow "led" I can tell you it was a bit disconcerting. At least it wasn't Red! Any chance we could get the status changed at this point to something like "Expand" or "Building" or keep "New" in that space? I tend to get just a little hysterical when I think I'm about to or have lost a pile of data but I've done this a few times and knew that if nothing I had my data on the old drive (it wasn't bad this time) so I didn't get toooo excitable. Something a little more comforting there might help others though <shrug> Thanks!
September 16, 200619 yr Starting in 3.0, we droped the "State" column of the Disk status and instead tweaked the colored LED's. Hopefully this will be more intuitive.
