January 2, 20251 yr Hi all. If I wanted to remove my 1660 super from my server what is the best way about this? Remove the plugin, shutdown, remove gpu and start back up again? Is this all I need to do?
January 3, 20251 yr Community Expert is it vfio bind? remove any vfio binds all of them turn off autostart of any docker and VM/LXC the plugin will error if it doesn't detect the G card. its fine to remove after gcard has been pulled. IF removing to never return, this will/may change VFIO Binds. But Yes: Remove the plugin, shutdown, remove gpu and start back up again... Is all you need to do... The above is more a caution to make sure things that may have used or rely on don't autostart. And if any hardware changes, move PCIE IRQ IOMMU groups....
