Array Drive DATA?

Featured Replies

I removed a Samsung F4 drive from my array thinking I needed to flash it with the new firmware.  Only to find out that I did not need to do that.

However, in removing the drive, I lost about 41 movies due to this issues because I didn't re-construct the array with the new drive prior to turning off the server.

So, I was wondering since the F4 drive has some media data in it would it be possible to re-add that data back to the array?  If this is possible, I won't have to re-rip all of the 41 movies again.

yes.. see your original thread..

Entering "initconfig" on the command line will reset the array. This will not effect the data drives but will invalidate parity. After the reset assign the data drives and rebuild parity.
