January 30, 20251 yr My system is randomly, but not infrequently, slowing to an unusable crawl. All services become unavailable, I cannot get in through the GUI, open terminal windows do not respond, SSH does not connect. The only way to restart is to pull the power plug, which can obviously only be done when I'm physically in front of the machine, and doesn't seem like a great solution. Once it's restarted, I've tried looking over the system logs, but I'm not sure they're useful because the needed data may not be written properly because of whatever is causing the bottleneck?? I've installed netdata to try to help figure it out, but I don't have any experience reading the output there. memtest PASSED (2 passes) Not sure how to track down the culprit, but this has been super frustrating and the system is completely unreliable right now. Any help would be appreciated!! TIA!! mediaserver-diagnostics-20250130-0929.zip

January 30, 20251 yr I just starting having a very similar issue, Cant get into the GUI, can't SSH in either. none of the dockers can be accessed via their webpages. But they do respond via their native apps.. ie. Emby, Homeassistant.. In my case this started happening once I turned on "detect episode intros" in Emby and started the task for it. Once I stopped the task the server returned to normal. I tried it again today, started the task and it was fine for a while.. Now everything is "stuck" again and the task is about 25% done. Can't get into the server to check usage or logs until I get back home after work and can try from the console..

I tried pinning plex to 2 cores only, and have set scans to lower priority, I'm not sure how to determine whether it's a scan causing it or not....
