February 9, 20251 yr Hi everyone, I’m planning to upgrade from Unraid 6.12.15 to Unraid 7.0 and wanted to check if there are any potential compatibility issues or steps I should take beforehand. I’ve attached several screenshots of my current configuration, plugins, user shares, Docker containers, and cache pool setup for reference. Details of my setup in my signature. Cache Pool Setup: • ZFS with RAID0 across two NVMe drives • Compression enabled, auto-trim on Primary Concerns: 1. Will the ZFS cache pool in RAID0 require any adjustments during or after the upgrade? 2. I'm running a script with CA Mover Tuning to only move older files onto the array every week. As well as the classic user script to force nvidia to idle at startup. 3. Are there known issues with any of my plugins or Docker containers in Unraid 7.0? 4. Should I disable any scripts or services before upgrading to avoid conflicts? 5. Any additional pre-upgrade tips (backup, troubleshooting steps, etc.)? I have everything backed up to the external HDD (unassigned devices) and to Google Drive (except actual content in the array which is replaceable) using appdata backup. I've attached screenshots of what I currently have. Anything jumps out that should be of concern?
February 9, 20251 yr Community Expert Pool should be fine, read the release notes to see if anything applies to you, also make a backup of the flash drive first, and if the mover stops working, remove the mover tuning plugin.

All seems to have gone fine. No problems whatsoever. Except as you said, mover tuning isn't working. So I can't use the script I've been using right? And just use mover at its "default" state? Also, do you have any idea if there's any further compatibility with amd pstate since we moved up in kernel's version? I used to have amd_pstate=passive in syslinux under "Unraid OS" after "append initrd=/bzroot". Which worked, this is still necessary? And/or can we use active or guided now?
February 10, 20251 yr Author Just now, JorgeB said: I believe that is no longer necessary, but not certain. Removed the line, rebooted and it defaulted to ACPI unfortunately So I guess it's still needed, but shouldn't in theory as the kernel is now fully capable of pstate guided even right?
