February 20, 20251 yr At random times, the server is not reachable anymore with the webui and all docker containers like plex etc. or not working anymore. I have to restart the complete server to get it working again. I have been troubleshooting this issue for the past few days with no succes. Last i did was to limit all my docker containers with the amount of ram they should usage. Since this morning 4am till now this post, the server has been still working properly. I was hoping if someone could tell me what could be causing this issue that im facing. I included 2 diagnostics from the times the server got unresponsive. How close do you normally run to your max system RAM?
February 20, 20251 yr Author Right now the following. This morning when i checked the last i could see on the webui page when its loading in my browser. The docker ram usage was taking up everything. Normally this is never the case. I have been using this same setup for more then a year now.
February 20, 20251 yr Community Expert Only troubleshooting I can suggest is to narrow down which container is a problem, by turning them off and seeing what happens - and/or narrowing down what they're doing when the system starts to crawl
February 20, 20251 yr Author No problem! I started today with limiting the ram usage of the docker containers am running. I hope this would have fixed it.
February 20, 20251 yr Community Expert In my experience this usually happens when the server is close to exhausting the memory, the GUI can still work, but can become extremely slow, like 1 minute to open the dash.
