Hi everyone.

I have one unraid machine (one of many in fact) that has an array and a ZFS pool, those two are for different things, also there are several dockers and VMs running in that server.

My idea is to "divide" the server in two separate devices, the array in one device and the ZFS pool in another (Later I will create a new array in that machine and move the data from the ZFS pool to the new array to be able to reuse the hdds of the ZFS pool in the new array after a reformat).

Since there are a few dockers running that require configuration I was thinking about just "cloning" the Unraid USB and purchasing a new license for the cloned one, in that way I can just remove the unused dockers from each of those machines instead of reinstalling and configuring them, but I have a few doubts:

1.- Is it possible to do what I am thinking?

2.- Will the "new" machine (the one with the copied usb) boot to be able to purchase a new license and change the IP settings?

3.- Is there a simpler way of doing this?.

Thanks a lot.

Take your new USB drive, install it fresh, boot it, license it, then transfer the config you want from the old flash drive (minus the license key file of course).

Thanks a lot, I'll do that.
