/mnt/user/appdata No space left on device

Featured Replies

I have been looking at this for hours, and I can't find anything :(

My appdata is on the cache drive.

- Cache drive has 198GB free.

- Appdata has Minimum free space set to 0

- Docker Image is 20GB and only 2.74GiB used

I can't figure out what is happening :( Help.

It's the pool floor:

diskShareFloor="200GB"

Click on the first drive in the pool to get to the settings for the pool and change the Minimum Free

Thx ! That was fast !

However I don't see this setting by clicking on any drives ?

What would that setting be so high !?

Does it affect the entire disk pool, or just the cache pool ?

  • Community Expert

It is only the pool named cache. If you had other pools they would have there own setting.

https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/storage-management/#minimum-free-space-for-a-pool

Array disks are handled with the Minimum Free setting for each User Share.

https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/shares/user-shares/#minimum-free-space

Go to MAIN - Pool Devices. You should have 2 drives listed there for your 2 disk cache pool. The settings for a pool are accessed by clicking on the first drive in the pool.

Ohh I found the setting - my bad. But it's set a 200KB not 200GB ? So it shouldn't be that ?

Try reapplying, then post new diags.

Sorry... I feel stupid, but I can't find a way to change the setting ? I tried disabling the array, but that setting is always grayed out :(

  • Community Expert

Looks like you succeeded in setting it to 200K

A better setting would be larger than the largest file you expect to write to cache as explained in that link I gave earlier.

array didn't stop properly. Nothing that I reboot didn't fix.

expect a parity check when you start the array.
