Rebuild very slow and drive 5 showing as unmounted

Featured Replies

I replaced disk 2 with a 16tb drive and the rebuild has been insainly slow.

Also, disk 5 started to show as unmountable but the array loads and tries to rebuild.

Not sure where to go from here, any advise is much appreciated

Check/replace cables for disk5 and post new diags after array start

Same thing, disk5 shows up when I restart the array without any errors.

I click start arry and then it starts to rebuild and shows disk 2 and disk 5 as unmountable.

Probably you really mean you reboot the server or something like that, because in the very next sentence, you say

So before you start the array, no disks are mounted yet, so none will be shown as unmountable.

Then, when you start the array, it tries to mount all disks, but some are unmountable.

I didn't notice any I/O errors, so the disks probably really do have unmountable filesystems.

Stop the rebuild.

Start with disk5, check filesystem on disk5 from the webUI, post the output.
