Disk missing after upgrading to 7.0

Featured Replies

Hello, I unfortunately had some issues with upgrading to 7.0 recently. At first when I did, I lost all of my disks connected to my HBA card. But I did the fix where you add bzroot pci=realloc=off to the end of unraid os in syslinux. That brought all the drives back but I'm missing one now, disk 4. I added my diagnostics, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Emulated disk4 is mounted, so its files should be OK. But I don't see disk4, or any Unassigned Device that might have been disk4, in the diagnostics.

Can you see the disk in BIOS?

Looks like your disk7 is USB. USB not recommended for assigned disks for many reasons. Plus, it is only 1.5TB, so really not enough capacity to bother with.

OK, I feel kinda dumb. That drive has been down since April. I finally bought a new one to replace it. I disconnected and reconnected all my drives physically in the tower and fired it up. Somehow the drive is back. Always check physical first guys... ALWAYS!

Now I can remove that USB drive and replace it!
