Server Randomly Crashing

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have been having intermittent issues with my Unraid server over the last week or so, initially this was just the server locking up and manually having to be rebooted to come back online, however, today for the first time it has rebooted itself and shows the following message "Machine Check Events detected on your server".

Initially, it appeared that the crashes were due to a failing USB, as I got read-only mode showing, however, swapping the USB drive has not resolved the issue.

I have gone through and done a purge of Docker containers and Unraid plugins, hoping that one of these may have been the cause, however, this has not resolved the issue.

Please let me know if there's any more information that would be useful.

Hopefully someone can see something in the logs that I'm missing, thank you in advance for any help!

This is almost always a hardware problem, and this point to the same:

Thank you for the links, I have made some changes in the BIOS and I'll come back either way.

Looks hopeful though considering the CPU match and very strange that it's taken 2ish years to crop up if it is the cause!

Thanks!
